What is a Path of Exile regex or vendor string?

A short search pattern you paste into the in-game stash or vendor search box. Path of Exile then highlights every item whose text matches it - sockets and links, map mods, scarab names, and more.

How do I use the regex builders?

Pick a builder in the tool list, select the sockets, mods, or names you want to match, then click Copy (or turn on Auto-copy) and paste the string into the stash or vendor search box in Path of Exile.

What is the character limit for PoE stash search?

Stash search takes up to 250 characters; the vendor search box only takes about 50. Each builder shows a length meter for its search box and warns when the string goes over the limit.

Do Faustus regex tools require login?

No. All regex builders work without an account. Profiles are saved in your browser's local storage and can be exported and imported as JSON.
